As a result of research and significant further development in the area of pore structures and oxide layers, snap-in capacitors are currently undergoing a revision in favor of smaller designs. Not only are existing series being supplemented with smaller components, but new series are also being launched to accommodate high current-carrying capacities in the smallest dimensions, for example the CD 29CS DS series:
This ultra-mini snap-in with a lifetime of 4 000h at 105°C can be implemented as a 400V-820uF capacitor at just under 2,5A in the 30×50 design.
